The board of directors of the Halifax County Convention & Visitors Bureau honored Cassandra Fox with its Spirit of Hospitality Award.
Fox is manager of housekeeping for Hampton Inn and has worked in the hospitality industry for over 30 years. She has been with First Carolina Management for 15 years.
Fox is a native of Rocky Mount. She is married with two sons and six grandchildren.
According to Wiley Davis, general manager of the Hampton Inn in Roanoke Rapids, “Fox’s management of over 126 rooms at the hotel is exceptional and she goes the extra mile with her customers. She always has a smile on her face and a positive attitude.”
“We are excited to be able to recognize employees that go above and beyond in customer service,” said Lori Medlin, CEO and president of the HCCVB. “We feel that this program will help us in our efforts to grow repeat visitation to Halifax County.”
The Spirit of Hospitality Award was created by the HCCVB to honor employees in the tourism/hospitality industry who enhance visitor experiences in Halifax County.
Individuals can be nominated in one or more of several categories, including server, hotel guest relations, and retail services.
Nominees must represent a lodging property, campground, restaurant, bar, attraction, or retailer in Halifax County.
