The men are also suspects in a similar heist in Ahoskie, Roanoke Rapids Investigator Obert Wiltsie said.
In the Ahoskie case, which occurred on February 14, the men broke an entire display case causing thousands of dollars in damages.
The Roanoke Rapids theft occurred around 1 p.m. at U.S. Cellular. Wiltsie said this afternoon the men probably stayed in the store for five minutes. They walked around, talked to each other and then snapped the devices from their displays, taking iPhones, iPads, LG Venture and LG Stylo phones.
The merchandise stolen is valued at approximately $4,500.
Wiltsie said the devices will most likely be sold online or at kiosks in shopping centers.
The devices stolen from Ahoskie were all iPhones, Wiltsie said.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call the police department at 252-533-2810; Wiltsie at 252-532-4509 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
