James Malcolm Hubbard, 73, of Roanoke Rapids, NC died Wednesday, August 5,2020, at Vidant North Hospital, in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Mr. Hubbard was born in Roanoke Rapids, NC the son of the late James Frank Hubbard and Agnes Hux Hubbard. 

He graduated from Pitt Community College and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the U.S. Air Force. 

He retired from KapStone in Roanoke Rapids, NC with thirty years of service. He served on the Board of Directors of the Roanoke Valley Girls’ Softball League, as well as coaching.

Surviving are: his wife, Rhonda Shearin Hubbard, their daughter, Madison Hubbard of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his son James K. Hubbard of Petersburg, VA; a sister Linda H. Ray of Morehead City, NC, and two Brothers George L. Hubbard of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Jerry W. Hubbard of Emporia, VA.

The Family will receive at Wrenn Clarke & Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service, Sunday, August 9, 2020, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.

Graveside services will be held in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC, Monday, August 10, 2020, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Frank Covington officiating.
