Fitzhugh Lee Woodard, Jr. 74, of Roanoke Rapids, NC, died Friday, January 29, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Woodard was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of the late Fitzhugh Lee Woodard, Sr. and Mary Cambra Woodard. He served in the U. S. Navy, during the Vietnam War and was a retired Metal Framer. His sister, Genola Lechenby preceded him in death.

Surviving are: wife Brenda Butler Woodard; a daughter, Sabrina W. Velasco and her husband German of Robertsdale, AL; four sons, Fitzhugh Merritt and his wife Dana of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Jason Woodard and his wife Shannon of Brodnax, VA, Brandon Woodard, also of Brodnax, VA and Johnny Harrell of Nashville, TN; four sisters Jackie Brna and her husband Johnnie of Emporia, VA, Pricilla Goins, Eileen Springar and her husband Paul, and Marguerite Thomas all of Richmond, VA; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
