Darella Wray Justice, 90, passed away Tuesday, February 9th, 2021, in the presence of her loving family, at Vidant North Hospital.

Mrs. Justice was instrumental not only in the Baptist ministry of her late husband, Reverend J.C. Justice, but also as an active founding member of Victory Baptist Church.

Mrs. Justice worked for The Bibb Co. (formerly J.P. Stephens and Co) throughout her entire career and enjoyed retirement doing what she did best – helping others.

Mrs. Justice’s devotion to her church, family and friends made her a beacon of the local community.

Whether she was visiting family in nursing homes three times a day or taxiing friends to the beautician or grocery store, she was delighted to help and brightened every room with her sweet soul.

Her grandchildren, Ryan Privette and Somer Lynn, feel particularly fortunate to have had her as such an important part of their upbringing.

The oldest of 6 children and the matriarch of our family, Mrs Justice is survived by her daughter, JoAnne Hoggard (Buddy), grandchildren, Ryan Privette (Suzanne) and Somer Lynn (Daniel), four great-grandchildren, her sister, Joyce Dickerson, brother, Harold Wray (Shirley) and sister-in-laws Peggy Wray and Faye Wray as well as a loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Reverend J.C. Justice, siblings Arline Baird (Aubrey), Walter Wray Jr and Thomas ‘’Buddy’’ Wray, brother-in-law Clayton Dickerson and nephew Keith Dickerson.

Mrs Justice was adored by all who were blessed to have known her and it is our hope that her love will live on through all of us.  And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love — I Corinthians 13:13
