Merium “Mae” Baggett Williams, 89, died Sunday, December 2, 2018.

A native of Halifax County, Mae was the daughter of the late Henry Grady Baggett and Elvira Robinson Baggett.

A longtime member of Park Baptist Church, she retired from the local textile mills as a weaver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years Albert E. Williams and her four siblings.

Mae is survived by her sons; David Williams and his wife Trudy of Oxford, Richard Williams and his wife Shirley of Currituck, and Keith Williams of Roanoke Rapids, daughters; Janet Williams Arrington and her husband Kenneth of Roanoke Rapids and Brenda Williams Gunnels and her husband Dick of Durham, 12 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Park Baptist Church with Funeral Services to follow at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.
