Frances Clary Tolbert, 95, died at her home in Gaston Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

Mrs. Tolbert was born in Mecklenburg County, VA, March 25, 1927, daughter to the late James and Beaulah Blanton Clary.

She also worked, for many years as a cloth inspector with several cotton gins in Roanoke Rapids. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tolbert was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart Tolbert; daughter, Shirley Epps and her sons, Wayne and Howard Tolbert.

Surviving are her sons, Jimmy Tolbert and wife, Dawn, and Danny Tolbert. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 7- 8:30 pm at Wrenn Funeral Home. Rev. Rick Russell will conduct funeral services in the Chapel at Wrenn Funeral home Sunday, May 15, 2022 beginning at 3:00 pm with interment to immediately follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
