Elizabeth Yeater Creekmore, 84 passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023. 

Mrs. Creekmore was born in Akron Ohio on October 22, 1938, the daughter of the late Belva Sadler Yeater and Carl Eugene Yeater. 

She and her husband John moved to North Carolina in 1948. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Carl Eugene Yeater Jr. 

Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 66 years John Edward Creekmore, daughters, Aimee Marie Turner (Michael), Cindy Creekmore Clayton (Richard), grandson, Thomas Turner (Fiancé Renee Moseley), step-grandson, Richard Clayton (Amy), step-great-grandchildren, Tabytha Hardee (Ian), Abygail Clayton, lifetime friend Gayle Moye and her beloved cat Sir Archie. 

Elizabeth loved the beach, gardening, was an artist, and animal lover. 

She worked many years in sales at Belk and the Quality Shop in Roanoke Rapids. 

Elizabeth directed youth choir and served various committees at Lakemore United Methodist Church, she was the cook at many church camps, and she volunteered at Halifax Memorial Hospital in the gift shop. 

Elizabeth was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother and loved spending time with her grandson. 

A special thank you to Doctor Mario Fiorilli for being a friend and a physician. Another special thank you to Signature Health Care for their compassionate and loving care when it was most needed. 

A graveside service will be held at Cedarwood Cemetery Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 3:00 PM. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:50 PM prior to the graveside service. Donations can be made to Rainbow Rescue.
