Mary Evelyn Vincent, age 61, of Knoxville. Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2024.  

She was born in Roanoke Rapids to the parents of John E. Vincent, Sr. and Zane P. Vincent.  The Family moved to the Florida Keys in 1969 where John and Zane started a retail business.  Mary then relocated to Powell, Tennessee where she worked for Temple Baptist Church for the past 25 years as a bookkeeper.  

Mary Evelyn enjoyed working in the missions outreach, New Testament Church Pioneers, and the international ministry at the church.  She loved traveling around the world and had a heart for people. Mary Evelyn was a strong advocate for other cancer patients by sharing the gospel.  She was also her mother’s caregiver in the last few years of both their lives.

Mary was preceded in death by parents, John E. Vincent, Sr. and Zane P. Vincent. 

She is survived by siblings, John E. (Gina) Vincent, Jr. and Gayle (David) Washington; nieces and nephews, Jason (Brittany) Vincent, Mandi (Nik) Roque, Daniel (Esther) Vincent: great nieces and nephews, Zachary,Brooklyn, Alexis, Valerie and Zander.

Family will receive friends Saturday, April 27th from 11:00-12:00 pm at Victory Baptist Church, 2360 Bolling Rd. Roanoke Rapids, NC, with funeral service following at 12:00 pm with Rev. Bill Giallourakis officiating.  

Graveside service will follow the memorial service at Greensville Memorial Cemetery, 1250 Skippers Road, Emporia, Virginia.
