Cynthia Neal Stewart Jones passed peacefully August 3, 2024 at her home in Gasburg, VA. 

She is survived by her husband Billy Jones of Gasburg; sister Linda Wells (Michael) of Raleigh; children Lawrence Haake, IV (Lauren) & Ashley Bonaparte (Tre) both of Mechanicsville, VA; six grandchildren: Noah, Holly & Nicholas Bonaparte and Virginia, Charlie & Carson Haake as well as many cherished friends and family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Neal & Margaret Baird Stewart of Roanoke Rapids, NC. 

Born April 1, 1953 in Roanoke Rapids, she was raised to serve her Lord, her country, and her family. 

For nearly 25 years she worked in the Virginia General Assembly as Legislative Aide to members of the House of Delegates as well as volunteered countless hours for many political campaigns. 

She had a love for gardening, history, genealogy, and her cats. 

She was a terrific mother and has left a legacy of service, dedication and values for generations to come. 

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Gasburg (175 Ankum Rd 23857) with Pastor Gregory Hand officiating.

There will be a private burial on the family farm afterwards. Dress casually for service.
