Roanoke Rapids High School Senior Cameron Medlin recently committed to play baseball next year at NC Wesleyan College.

From the Black and Gold Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets to the Blue and Gold Battling Bishops, Medlin will fullfilling his desire to play baseball in college down the road in Rocky Mount at NC Wesleyan College.

Cameron Medlin said, "To be given the opportunity to play baseball at the next level is the chance of a lifetime.  The past two years I have battled injuries that robbed me of playing with my team.  I knew I didn't and wasn't going to end my career on an injury.  My goal is to work hard this next year to become stronger and be ready to come out and play some baseball."

Roanoke Rapids High School Coach Mark Snead stated, "I am so happy for Cameron.  He has worked hard over the years to make himself into a great baseball player.  He has talent and heart.  That is what makes him special.  And this showed and he didn't let injuries stop him from achieving his goals."
