Pugh Pugh Roanoke Rapids Police Department

A man wanted for indecent liberties counts surrendered to the Roanoke Rapids Police Department Friday, Investigator Chris Babb said in a statement.

Babb credited the surrender of Wesle Ja'Won Pugh to media coverage of him being wanted for three counts of indecent liberties with a minor.

Sergeant Mike Moseley served Pugh the warrants around 4 p.m.

The offenses occurred around the beginning of July and involved the same victim, who Pugh, 22, was familiar with. There were separate offenses.

Pugh was transported to the Halifax County Jail where he received a $5,000 secured bond.
