Woman shot in domestic in stable condition

The condition of a woman who was shot in an apparent domestic dispute early this morning has been upgraded to stable condition, according to Halifax County Sheriff Wes Tripp.

Tripp said investigators plan to interview the woman, 34-year-old Nakisha D. Reid, Wednesday.

Reid's boyfriend, Jimmy Harrison Jr., died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after reportedly shooting Reid and an 8-year-old boy in the hand. The boy did not sustain life-threatening injuries and two other children escaped the residence on Mills Road in Hollister safely.
