Already serving a warrant at the same location on Sam Powell Dairy Road in March, today the City County Drug Task Force served another.

In March agents looked for Terrell Lamont Simmons, who has a December 16 court date on those charges.

Today agents, according to a statement from Agent D.J. Hundley, served a warrant to Terrell's twin brother — Tirrell Demond Simmons and arrested him on cocaine charges.

Hundley declined elaboration beyond the press release, which noted today was the second time agents have been to residence over the past seven months.

Agents arrived at the residence around 8:30 a.m. with the search warrant, which Hundley said was based on citizen complaints and officer observation over the past seven months.

With assistance of Josh, a canine agent, the task forced seized 5.2 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia and several firearms.

Hundley charged Tirrell Simmons, 26, with felony possession of cocaine; maintaining a vehicle, place or dwelling to store a controlled substance; possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II; possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon.

He was jailed on $20,000 secured bond and assigned a November 25 court date.

Hundley said in the statement citizens are encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444 to report any drug activity.
