Halifax County trick-or-treat hours

Listed are trick-or-treating hours and reported events for towns across Halifax County:

Enfield

Trick-or-treating is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

At the parks and recreation building on Southeast Railroad there will candy, hot dogs and drinks as well as a haunted bus sponsored by New Focus Child Learning Center.

 Halifax

The town of Halifax will be celebrating Halloween in conjunction with the Halifax County Sheriff's Office and its trunk-or-treat event which will be held at the courthouse complex on Ferrell Lane.

This will be a safe zone for children and parents from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Hen & The Hog restaurant will open at 5 p.m. It will serve a more seasonal menu and will have items such as caramel apples, popcorn, and cupcakes.

Hobgood

Halloween activities will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Littleton

Trick-or-treating in Littleton is between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The town library will also be giving out candy.

Scotland Neck

Trick-or-treating is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sylvan Heights will have a Halloween event from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the park where costumed characters will hand out candy.

Admission is $2 per child, who must be accompanied by an adult.

First Baptist Church on Church Street will hold a trunk-or-treat event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Roanoke Rapids

Trick-or-treat will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

T.J. Davis will also host the Optimist Club's annual Halloween carnival and haunted house from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Weldon

The Weldon Police Department has set trick-or-treating hours in town from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will also be working in conjunction with Valley Community Church and it's annual trunk-or-treat celebration, which coincides with the town's hours, Deputy Chief James Avens said.
