NCSO roundup: November arrests

The Northampton County Sheriff's Office reported the following, according to Captain M.D. DeLoatch Sr.:

November 28

Arrested Nakeia Renee Clark, 33, of Gaston.

Clark was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Sheriff Jack Smith in the statement commended Detective P. Jacobs for his work in the case as well as Deputy C. Exum for the arrest of Clark.

November 27

Arrested Derryel Bell, 21, of Woodland.

Bell was the last of three arrested in recent break-ins in the Conway area.

He was charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny, and two counts of felony possession of stolen goods.

Smith commended Detective Sergeant J. Jenkins “for his diligent effort in working on this case. I would also like to thank Deputy J. Britt and Sgt. W. James for their effort along with Detective J. Jenkins in their capture of Mr. Bell. I would also like to thank members of the community for their assistance in the apprehension Mr. Bell.”

November 25

Arrested Derrick Harrell Jr., 24, of Aulander.

Harrell was charged with two counts of felony possession of cocaine and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Smith thanked deputies David Sheppard and Antwan Johnson for their effort in taking Harrell into custody. “The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office will continue to do all we can to remove illegal drugs out of our community.”

Arrested Da’Shawn Montez Newsome, 23, of Murfreesboro.

Arrested Xavier Fennell Flythe, 24, of Durham.

Flythe was arrested on a fugitive warrant out of Southampton County, Virginia.

Smith commended Deputy D. Shepard for his effort in making this arrest.
