Three charged in Friday B&E

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department this weekend arrested three men on breaking and entering warrants filed by the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.

The breaking and entering occurred Friday in the Highway 48 area of Roanoke Rapids, according to a statement by Detective D.C. Dickens of the sheriff's office.

The men — Joshua Dwayne Williams and Garry Norris Jones, both 28, and Micheal Wayne Brown, 40 — face charges of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of stolen goods. The men are from Roanoke Rapids.

Further details of the crime were not immediately available this morning.

Jones and Brown received $10,000 bonds and Williams a $15,000 bond.

All three have January 27 court dates.
