Two arrested, one sought in B&E

Two men have been arrested and another is sought in a February 4 breaking and entering in the Margaretsville area.

Captain M.D. DeLoatch Sr. of the Northampton County Sheriff's Office said the two men — Jaquan Deloatch of Conway and Patrick Moore of Woodland were both charged the day of the crime.

Deloatch, 24, has been charged with several felony warrants in the case. He faces Northampton County charges which include three counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of injury to real property, a count of felony larceny and a count of felony possession of stolen goods. Hertford County charged him with three counts of possession of stolen goods.

He is scheduled for a court appearance on February 11 and received a $70,000 secured bond.

Moore, 30, of Woodland, was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony possession of stolen property, and felony larceny.

He received a February 11 court date and $20,000 secured bond.

Captain DeLoatch said Daye faces the same charges as Moore and tends to frequent areas of Hertford and Bertie counties.

Sheriff Jack Smith said the Murfreesboro Police Department and the Hertford County Sheriff’s Office assisted in apprehending Deloatch and Moore in a quick manner.

He also credited his investigation division for its persistence in the working the case. “Working together with other agencies proved to be a great asset in this case. The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office will continue to investigate any and all complaints of suspicious activity in the county.”

More charges could be forthcoming against the trio.
