Major Scott Hall said Jackie Putney, 27, tends to frequent areas of Roanoke Rapids.

Detective D.C. Dickens obtained warrants for Putney's arrest on food stamp fraud. “From time to time we get reports of people selling them for cash. This is a problem reported in the past,” Hall said.

Hall declined comment on how much Putney reportedly made from the sale of his card.

Anyone with information on Putney's whereabouts is encouraged to call the sheriff's office at 252-593-1002 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.

Additionally, Hall said, anyone with information or wanting to report food stamp fraud is encouraged to call Dickens at 252-593-1002.
