Chief Chuck Hasty said Trevon Quantavius Fields tends to frequent the uptown and downtown areas of the city.

Lieutenant Jeff Baggett obtained warrants for his arrest following a June 23 report of a breaking and entering. Police received the report around 3:15 p.m.

The victim told Baggett while they were upstairs they heard a noise downstairs. The victim found Fields coming through a backdoor. Fields also reportedly burned a hole in a window.

The victim confronted Fields, who fled the area.

Baggett obtained warrants for the arrest of Fields for breaking and entering and arson.

There is an outstanding warrant also for resisting, delaying, and obstructing an officer which stems from him running away when Lieutenant Perry Parks attempted to serve the warrants.

Hasty said Fields is encouraged to come to the police department to take care of this matter.

Belk larceny

On June 23 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Hasty said Officer Dustin Newsome responded to a larceny call at Belk.

Loss prevention reported Darlene Richardson Moody, 46, of Roanoke Rapids, took items.

Newsome arrested and charged Moody with habitual larceny and during a search found her in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Moody received an $8,000 bond and July 7 court date.
