Around 1:30 Tuesday morning, Chief Chuck Hasty said Officer A. Green conducted a traffic stop for a violation.
Green cited the driver, Antonio Dykyme Rivera, 31, of Philadelphia, for no operator’s license and speeding.
Jennifer A. Green, 43, of Philadelphia, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ashley Jean Waerig, 28, of Philadelphia, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The three were released until their May 26 court dates.
Master Officer G. Morris and Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Deputy M. Bishop assisted.
Around the same time as Green’s stop, Officer R. Cross conducted a traffic stop on East Tenth Street for a violation.
Cross arrested and charged Lindale Burgess, 59, of Roanoke Rapids, for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance and expired registration.
Burgess received a $15,000 bond and April 5 court date.

Indecent Exposure
At approximately 3:30 p.m. the police department arrested Henry Kareen Franklin, 31, of Roanoke Rapids for three counts of indecent exposure.
The charges stem from three different times Franklin allegedly exposed himself to people while committing a lewd act.
The first occurred at a business in the 300 block of Roanoke Avenue Tuesday and the second and third occurred at a business in the 1800 block of Julian R. Allsbrook Highway and the 900 block of the avenue.
He was jailed on $3,000 bond and has a May 12 court date.
Hasty, Lieutenant J. Baggett and Officer M. Hunsucker filed the charges and Agent D. Hundley of the task force and Green assisted.
Assault
Jacquelyn Johnson, 65, of Gaston, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
She received a $5,000 bond and April 5 court date.
The charges stem from an investigation by Lieutenant C.L. Vaught on November 29.
The victim reported Johnson allegedly attempted to run them over with her vehicle and made threats.
