The Roanoke Valley U8 game against Ahoskie that was suspended Friday night due to the storm was started about 10 am Saturday morning. RV had a 6-3 lead in bottom of the 1st inning with one out for Ahoskie.
Roanoke Valley went on to win 18-8 in four innings with the ten run rule.
At the plate Roanoke Valley had the following: Susannah Odom and Akira Gray each had a single, Lauren Garner and Ella Howell each had two singles, Alaina Mitchell had a double, Morgan Houdamit, Logan Storey and Ashlyn Cooke each had three singles, Brooke Ott had two singles and a double and Meredith Wilson had a homerun and a double.
Roanoke Valley stays in the winners bracket and plays Camden around 3 pm Saturday.
