A former federally convicted bank robber now faces marijuana charges lodged by the Seaboard Police Department Sunday.

Citizen complaints, coupled with undercover surveillance and security camera videos, aided in the discovery of alleged marijuana sales Henry D. Bynum Jr. was making from his apartment, according to Officer Chris Buffaloe.

Buffaloe said several weeks of investigation aided in his arrest following the execution of a search warrant.

The search warrant execution led to the discovery of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a firearm.

The search, aided by Buffaloe's dog, also led to the discovery of additional paraphernalia and a large sum of money hidden within the apartment.

Bynum was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He received a $3,000 bond.

Buffaloe credited the town's citizens for their willingness to step up as well as area business owners who utilize proper security camera systems that are vital in solving crimes such as this. “With community involvement in our daily work as officers, solving crimes is expedited. No complaint is ever too small.”
