Three people have been arrested in connection with a breaking and entering that occurred last Friday at a residence on Highway 48 in Enfield.

Weapons, jewelry and electronics were among the items taken, according to Detective Harold Phillips of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.

Investigation by Corporal Dreher Bozard was instrumental in the case, Phillips said, as his work led to two being located at a Rocky Mount pawn shop allegedly attempting to sell the items.

Evans

Rocky Mount police assisted in the case and charges were filed against Raymond Jaquan Evans, 22, of Whitakers, and Matthew Lewis Simms, 21, of Enfield. They were the pair who were at the pawn shop.

Davis

Denzel Maurice Davis, 20, was arrested at the sheriff's office.

Evans received a $10,000 bond; Simms a $20,000 bond and Davis a $15,000 bond. Their court date has been set for December 18.

The men face charges of felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and felony possession of stolen goods.

Simms

Additionally, Simms was charged today with larceny of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by felon, which upped his bond to $35,000.

Additional charges are expected.
