Roanoke Rapids Lady Jackets open softball season with a shut-out win.

First year Roanoke Rapids High girls softball coach picked up his first win as the new softball coach and the girls earned their season opening win at home Wednesday night. The Jackets shut out Nash Central 10-0 in 6 innings.

Sophomore Hunter Martin pitched the whole 6 innings, pitching 67 pitches and 51 strikes and 3 batters struck-out.  

Breanna Allen had two singles at the plate Wednesday.

 

At the plate Harley Webber had 2 singles, Junior Brianna Allen had a double and single, Freshman Breanna Allen had two singles, Hunter Martin had two single, Brooke McCleany had a double while Brooke Vincent, Hope Vincent and Sierra Hearp each had a single.

Head Coach Will Clark gives Brooke Vincent some pointers.

 

Northern Nash High has canceled Fridays scheduled game due to basketball, so the Girls will host Franklinton Tuesday March 4 at 6 PM for their first conference game.
