The Roanoke Rapids Warriors 6th grade travel basketball team are weekend Champions.

After completing their 4th tournament this weekend in Murfreesboro, they improved to a 10-3 record overall including a 6-0 stretch in their last two tournaments allowing them to win consecutive championships.

"I am so proud of these young men, not necessarily for the wins and championships but because of the growth that they have made as a team," said head coach Troy McNair. "These young men have committed to becoming better basketball players at a young age and that commitment is translating to wins for them," he added.

The team beat 58 Express, Murfreesboro Magic and Ahoskie Rec this past weekend.
