A Halifax County Sheriff's Office deputy was arrested for domestic violence today.

Tyler Hux, who was hired in March, has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of court proceedings, Sheriff Wes Tripp said.

The matter that reportedly led to the charge being filed was reported today and the victim is OK, Tripp said.

Hux was jailed without the opportunity for bond due to the domestic nature of the case. He will have a first court appearance Monday.
