The RVGSL U10 girls softball All-stars finished 2nd in a hard fought back and forth Area tournament Championship game in Windsor Sunday. It was a rematch with Dare County who Roanoke Valley lost to in the opening game Thursday.
The RV U10's played 6 innings in the championship game coming up short 6-3 to Dare County.
Lily Curtis pitched a 13 strikeout 6 inning game to Ashlyn Cooke who was working hard for her behind the plate.
Logan Storey and Morgan Hudomint lead the team batting with 2 singles in this battle of the pitcher's match, other base runners were Lily Curtis, Lauren Garner, Ella Howell, and Susannah Odom who all reached on a walk. With smart base running Susannah Odom, Ella Howell, and Lauren Garner scored the teams 3 runs.
The RV U10 All-stars now have their eye's on their first Little League District 4 tournament in Elizabeth City starting on Saturday July 5th.
