Roanoke Rapids cross-country's freshman Katherine Clayton ran today at Kernersville NC in the NCHSAA 2A state meet. There were 125 runners making the state event. Clayton finished 42 with a 21:57:71 time.
"I am really proud of the way Katherine ran today. The conditions were very wet and muddy, but she ran hard and posted an excellent time. For her to finish in the top third of the state is really impressive. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication she put in this year. I am really happy for her," said Roanoke Rapids cross country head coach Mark Snead
