Jackets fall 5 points short again to Warren County

Roanoke Rapids varsity boys faced Warren County Tuesday night in the Warren County Christmas Classic Basketball Tournament Championship.

Two weeks earlier in their regular season match-up in Roanoke Rapids Warren County won 65-60.

In Tuesday night game Roanoke Rapids took the lead from the tip-off and carried a 23-20 lead to halftime. With 2:09 left in the third period Warren County took the lead for the first time and would go on to beat Roanoke Rapids 56-51 by five points again.

Cameron Yarboro and Semaj Smith were selected to the All-Tournament team.

Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids were:  Semaj Smith with 14 pointsm Cameron Yarboro with 12 points.

Head Coach Tyler Snyder comments after the game: "We started out strong and just need to fix a few things during practice this week. Warren Countyhas a good team and play their strengths. We play conference games the rest of the season, so we need to get things ready."
