Chaloner baseball action

This weeks Chaloner Middle school baseball team results.

Chaloner split a doubleheader this week with Wyatt Middle School of Emporia losing the first game 7 -6 and winning the second game 7-1 (5 inning games). In the first game CMS had 5 hits. Ethan Dixon had two singles, while Collin Long, Carson Neal, and Landon Wollet also added a hit. CMS used multiple pitchers for the game. In the 2nd game, Dillon Jenkins had two hits. Carson Neal, Cameron Medlin, Cameron Medlin, Cameron Wilson, Collin Long, and Jake Van Dam also added hits.

Carson Neal and Brandon Collier pitched the second game for the Jackets striking out 9 and walking six batters.

Chaloner lost a heartbreaker to NECP( of Tarboro) in a 16-15 slugfest. Chaloner lead most of the game but can up a little short at the end. Carson Neal and Cameron Wilson each had 2 hits. Brandon Collier had a double and some nice diving catches in the outfield. Collin Long, Jake Van Dam, Dillon Jenkins, and Matt Williams also added hits for the Jackets. Chaloner had a 3 run lead going in to the last inning, but gave up 3 hits, two walks, and two errors in the infield to lose the hard fought game.

Chaloner completed their conference season by winning against Conway in forfeited match. The Chaloner Baseball team went undefeated in conference play and were Conference Champs. Chaloner will end its season with a non-conference match up with Cornerstone Christian School. The game will start at 4:00p.m. and will be played at Doyle Field.
