The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported the following, according to Captain Scott Hall:
On Sunday Deputy D. Harrison encountered a disabled vehicle on Highway 125 near Blue Sky Road.
Harrison learned Travis Travares Lee, 42, was the vehicle operator and the deputy became suspicious of the Williamston man’s activity.

Further investigation led to the discovery of 12 bags of edibles infused with THC weighing approximately 538 grams as well as 12.6 grams of marijuana.
Lee was arrested and charged with felony possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, possession with intent to sell/deliver a schedule VI controlled substance, simple possession of marijuana and driving while license revoked.
Lee received a $10,000 bond and November 8 district court date.

On Friday Deputy S. Pate responded to the 1000 block of Wright Road just outside of Roanoke Rapids on a report of a breaking, entering and larceny.
An ATV and mini-bike had been stolen from a storage shed.
The items were located Sunday at a home on Clover Lane in Halifax.

Pate arrested and charged Thomas Michael Walton, 66, of Roanoke Rapids, with breaking and entering and felony larceny.
He received a $1,500 secured bond. No court date has been entered on the state court calendar.
