She received her education through the Northampton County Public School System and was a 1974 graduate of Gumberry High School, Gumberry, North Carolina. She attended Elizabeth City State University and Shaw University. She was a member of the Delta Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Seaboard, North Carolina.
Linda was employed by Dollar General, Garysburg, North Carolina. She was well-known in the community as being a person that once you met, you would never forget. She was very dedicated and loyal to her family and friends. She will forever be missed in the Northampton-Halifax County Areas. In her early years, Linda confessed to Christ and was baptized at Roanoke Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Jackson, North Carolina, where She was a dedicated and faithful member, as well as a dedicated Usher until her death. Linda was passionate and loved being an Usher. As Linda would often say, “I Can Work a Floor”.
Linda affectionately known as (Sue) leaves to cherish her precious memories; Two Daughters: Shikeria Webb of Raleigh, NC and Ke’swanna Barnes of Kings Mountain, NC; Two Grandchildren: Qua’taisha Turner of the home and Ryann Melvin of Raleigh, NC; One Great-grandchild: Taylor Williams of the home; Her Loving Mother: Virginia Webb of the home; Four Siblings: Joanne Webb and Patsy Webb-Dismuke and husband James all of Richmond, VA; Steven Webb and wife Maria of Garyburg, NC and Levita Webb of Roanoke Rapids, NC; a Nephew: Steven M. Webb of Garysburg, NC; Her godson: Montreal Clemonts and Her godsister: Monique Moody; Her Maternal Aunts and Uncles; Lillie Wilkins of Jackson, NC, Roger Webb of Baltimore, Md., Mary Hunt of Baltimore, Md, Helen Watson of Weldon, NC, Bertha Webb of Manhattan, NY, Portia Clements of Garysburg, NC, William Clanton, Jr. and wife of Irvington, NJ, Nelson Clanton of Norfolk, VA, Chester Webb and wife Connie of Garysburg, NC; a Special Paternal Cousin like an uncle: Percell Hughes; one Maternal Great Aunt: Martha Clanton-Wyche and husband Waverly of Sharon Hill, PA and one Maternal Great Uncle-In-Law: Morris Gary of Up State, NY; some of her special friends: Iris Williams, Rev.
