Mr. Watts was born in Halifax County, January 04, 1940, to the late Alfred Gus and Mattie Vaughan Watts.
He was a wonderful father, “World Class” fisherman and an avid guitarist.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Watts was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Harrell Watts.
Surviving are his sons, Daryl Watts and wife, Tracy and Chris Watts and fiancé, Heather Rhea; brothers, Walter Watts and wife, Betty, Jesse Watts and wife, Mary Ann, Wilbur Watts and wife, Joyce and Rupert Lyles and wife, Dolly; grandchildren, Kelsey Short and husband, Nick, Cody Watts and Justin Watts. Also surviving is his great grandchild, Easton.
Rev. Randy Martin will conduct a service of remembrance Monday, April 17, 2017 at 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Mr. Watt’s home, 122 Harrell’s Cove Sunday, April 16, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 pm.
