Teresa was born July 21, 1975, in Halifax County to the late Earl Bernard Sanders and Judy Shearin Sanders. She was also preceded in death by her brother Earl Sanders, Jr.
Teresa was a loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Katlyn Lynn Shearin of Kitty Hawk, NC; her sisters, Michelle Ellis and her husband Harry Ellis, III, Tonya Sanders and Ashley Cannon all of Roanoke Rapids; her brother, David Shearin of Farmville, VA; her half-siblings, Angie Pitsenbarger of Elkton, VA, Lisa Bellflower and Jeremy Bellflower, Eddie Lee Sanders, Robbie and Kimberly Sanders all of Roanoke Rapids; her fiancé, Donald Phillips, Jr. of Roanoke Rapids and many nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held by her family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Teresa Shearin Memorial Fund, c/o Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service, 507 Hwy 158, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870.
