Sylvia was born November 18, 1937, in Warren County to the late William Ralph Mabry and Gladys Dillard Mabry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Stallings.

She always looked for the best in everyone, she was very supportive and gentle. She was an amazing person who loved her family, a proud grandma, who loved to tell stories to her family and grandkids. Sylvia loved to hear her family sing, she loved the Lord, music, Elvis, and Fox News.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Tony Stallings and his wife Becky of Aurelian Springs, Kathy Walker, Alan Ralph Stallings and Janice Shearin and her husband Sammy all of Roanoke Rapids; her grandchildren, Samuel Wesley “Wes” Shearin, II, Candace Alaina Morgan and her fiancé Josh Baird and Dustin Howard Walker

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Harris Chapel Baptist Church, Hwy 561, Hollister, NC with Dr. Darren Lambert officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 P.M. Friday at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service and other times at the home of her daughter, Janice, 133 Devonshire Circle, Roanoke Rapids.
