He was born in Vicksburg, MS, to loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bertrand H. Lindley Sr.

He was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of the Navy Band.

Bert met his first wife (Juanita De Lira) while stationed in Corpus Christi, TX, and they had two children (Robert and Christine).

Bert went on to college after his time in the Navy and graduated with a degree in Music Education from Northeast Louisiana University.

His hobbies included skeet shooting, fishing, and Blackjack.

He is survived by his spouse Kay Shearin Lindley, son Robert Thomas Lindley and wife Anne, daughter Christine Lindley Ferris, and granddaughter Lindley Blanche Whitehead.

A memorial service is to be planned for a later date.
