Mrs. Patrick was born in Horry County, South Carolina, December 14, 1935, to the late Giles Tyler and Ruth DuBois Tyler.  She was a long time member of Lakeview Park Baptist Church, now Victory Baptist Church and loved her family, as well as, being there to help anyone in need and would put others before herself.  She was a wonderful cook and was a master of fried chicken and homemade biscuits; you never left hungry when visiting the Patrick household.  She was a nurse and cared for others for many years, and later ran the Bayberry Retirement Inn. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Patrick was preceded in death by her brother, William “Bud” Tyler, and several other brothers and sisters. 

Surviving is her husband of 56 years, Jack Patrick of the home; two sons, Dwayne Patrick and wife, Terry, and Greg Patrick and wife, Wanda, both of Roanoke Rapids; brother, Lloyd Tyler; sister, Merle Williams, of Horry County, SC; three grandchildren, Jason Patrick and wife Becky, Erica Patrick, and Brittany Patrick.  Also surviving is her precious dog, Daisy.

The family will receive friends at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 7-8:30 pm.  Pastor Gary Moore and Rev. Randy Martin will conduct funeral services at Victory Baptist Church Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm with interment to follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
