Tillmon jury selection slated in September

Jury selection in the Operation Rockfish trial of Antonio Tillmon, the only defendant in the police corruption case to not enter a guilty plea, begins September 19.

Kavon Phillips, the Operation Rockfish defendant who was charged with driving while impaired in Gates County, will be allowed to remain on pretrial release, according to an order filed in the federal court record.

Tillmon enters not guilty plea in Rockfish

Antonio Tillmon, the only defendant in the Operation Rockfish police corruption case to not take a plea, pled not guilty today to all charges filed against him.

A failed motion requesting sentencing of several Operation Rockfish defendants occur this month indicates Antonio Tillmon may be the only person to stand trial in the police corruption case.

One of the defendants in the Operation Rockfish police corruption case has been scheduled for a bond revocation hearing for driving while impaired, court records show.
