Halifax County is accepting applications for the 2026-2027 funding cycle of its Community Grants Program. 

The Halifax County Board of Commissioners has appropriated $50,000 to fund grants for various public purposes, such as support of museums and the arts, certain housing programs, public recreation facilities, social welfare programs, and programs for seniors.

Nonprofit corporations and faith-based organizations providing such programs in the county are invited to apply for grant funding. 

Please note that supervised recreation programs are separately supported by the Halifax County Recreation Partners Grant Program in the spring.

Those interested should submit a written grant proposal using the guidelines provided at this link
