Earl Wheeler's skills proven again by Jimmie Johnson

Roanoke Rapids native Earl Wheeler helped NASCAR's Jimmie Johnson go to Victory Lane at Pocono Raceway this past Sunday in the Party in the Pocono's 400.

Wheeler has worked for Hendrick Motorsports for 17 years and is a two time NASCAR MAHLE Clevite engine builder of the year. This past Sunday Wheeler built the engine that powered the #48 driven by Jimmie Johnson to victory lane. Wheeler is a gradutate of Northwest Halifax High.

Wheeler started the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup series on a high note with three cars powered by his built engines. The #88 of Dale Earnhart Jr. who finished 2nd, #24 of Jeff Gordon who led laps and finished 20th and the #14 of Tony Stewart who finished 41st.
