Roanoke Rapids softball hosted Bunn Wednesday night.

 

Roanoke Rapids found themselves down 8-0 in bottom of the fifth inning, that's when Brooke Vincents first hit of the game for the lady Jackets got the girls back in the game. After five complete innings of play Bunn was up 8-7. But Bunn would never lose the lead and would go on to beat Roanoke Rapids 12-9, handing Roanoke Rapids their second conference loss of the season.

Sierra Hearp started on the mound for the Jackets allowing 11 hits, 1 home-run, 9 runs, 3 walks and 8 strike-outs. Hunter Martin came in for relief and allowed 4 hits, 3 runs 0 walks and 2 strike-outs.

Roanoke Rapids had 9 hits at the plate. Jordan Carpenter had 2 hits, Brooke McClenny had a 3 run over the fence home-run while Hunter Martin, Sierra Hearp, Brooke Vincent, Brianna Allen, Breanna Allen and Hope Vincent each had 1 hit.

 

Roanoke Rapids drops to a 9-2 overall record and now a 4-2 in the Northern Carolina Conference.
