RRHS picks up a big conference win over Bunn by a score of 10-4.

Cole Phelps struck out 10 batters on his way to the complete game victory.

Leading Hitters for RRHS:  Cole Phelps had a 2 run homerun in the first inning and a bases loaded triple in the fifth inning.  Logan Simonowich and Kyle Vincent each had 2 singles.  Dylan Allen picked up a big 2 out, 2 RBI single in the fourth inning.  Hunter Godwin also had a 2 out, RBI single in the fourth inning.  

"To pick up a win against a strong conference team like Bunn is huge.  Cole pitched an excellent ball game.  The defense was big behind Cole and kept Bunn from having any big innings.  We were able to put the ball in play and put some pressure on them.  They gave us a few extra outs and we were able to take advantage of that with some timely two-out hitting.  I am really proud of the way we played tonight.  This was another great team effort," said coach Mark Snead.

RRHS improves to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in the conference.  The Yellow Jackets next game is Friday at Franklinton.  Game time is 6pm.
