The Roanoke Rapids based women's travel softball team Roanoke Valley Elite played in a tournament this weekend in Raleigh at Worth Dale Softball Complex and Walnut Creek.  

The team was formed it this year and finished in 2nd place this weekend at the 14th Annual Jimmy V NIT in women's Class E in Raleigh.  

They lost the championship game 8-7 after playing 6 games throughout the day.
