The Roanoke Rapids Youth Baseball Association kicked off this Saturday at Ledgerwood park with a preseason tournament in the Minor league division.
Regular season is set to kick off Monday April 28th at 6:30 pm on all four fields. Two minor league and two major league games at one time.
The 2014 Minor League Deacons went 3-0 to win the first annual RRYBA preseason tournament. The Deacons outscored their opponents 22 - 1.
Alex Galloway, Davis Liverman and Austin Geary pitched well each earning a win.
Hunt Qualls caught the entire tournament behind the plate.
The whole team contributed offensively.
