Friday night saw the Halos beat the Bishops 8-7 in an exciting game.  

The Halos jumped out to a 4-2 lead only to see the Bishops close the gap to 5-4 at the end of the 2nd and then take a 1 run lead at the end of 3 innings of play.  In a back and forth game the Halos scored 2 in the top half of the final inning to re-take the lead.

Wade Jenkins took the mound for the Halos in the bottom half of the inning and struck out the side to secure the win.

 

Drew Williams, Chase Nelson, Nathan Watts and Jenkins all pitched effectively in the victory.  Several Halos scored including, Jacob Edenbeck, Carter Pair, Will Butler, and Wyatt Clay.

  

AJ Strickland pitched a no hitter in the loss and Cole Eure came in and finished pitching the last inning for the Bishops.

 

 The Bishops are 1-1.

 

Strickland led the way for the Bishops at the plate with a hit and scoring twice, along with Eure and Lee Given also scoring.
