Mario Andretti to greet fans at Pugh’s Tire Store Opening in Williamston

Racing legend Mario Andretti will be in Williamston, NC to join local leaders for the grand opening of the newest Pugh’s Tire & Service Center at 1259 Brentway Avenue, Williamston.

Pugh’s Tire is excited to celebrate the opening of its sixth store in Eastern North Carolina. Andretti will be on site on behalf of Firestone Tires to greet fans and sign autographs. The event will benefit Children’s Miracle Network. Mr. Andretti will meet fans from 10:00 am – 11:30 am.

Andretti's partnership with the Firestone brand spans four decades and as a longtime test driver for the company, he helped develop the racing tire that led to many of his most notable achievements. With Firestone tires under his car, he won the Indy 500, Daytona 500, three Sebring endurance races and several Formula One victories. He was named Driver of the Year in three different decades (the 60s, 70s, 80s), Driver of the Quarter Century (in the 90s) and the Associated Press named him Driver of the Century in January, 2000.
