Community Softball League starts Summer 2014.
The Adult Roanoke Rapids CFFL (Community Flag Football League) came to life back in August when founder Tracy Story found a field to play on and now it looks like Adult Roanoke Rapids CSL (Community Softball League) will come to life.
Tracy Story, owner of Discount Tire of Roanoke Rapids (a small business) in Roanoke Rapids did not have enough employees to meet rules for a Roanoke Rapids Parks and Recreation Industrial league team and the City is already playing four nights a week, So Story attended the Gaston Town Meeting and requested the use of the two fields at Dwight Hall Park in Gaston for the CSL and was approved. “We have over came our biggest hurdle today, We have fields to play on,” Story stated.
“The CSL will take shape within the next thirty days, there will be co-ed and open league play,” Story stated. More information to come.
