The Downeast Lady  Panthers 
won the National Championship 
in Myrtle Beach,SC July 11,2014. 

The team went on a 6-0 run to claim the USBA National Championship. The team was started in 2012 
to provide an outlet for-girls that wanted to participate in basketball on another level. The team is 
coached by Basil Williams, Sr. of Enfield, NC along-with Basil Williams, Jr. and Darryl Collins.  The 
organization also has an 8th grade team and is looking to expand next year.
