Travel baseball team win 
the rings and trophy.

The Roanoke Rapids U8 travel baseball team Carolina Sluggers traveled 
to Rocky Mount this weekend for Baseball Nations “East Coast Select World Series”.

The Sluggers went into Sunday with a 1-1 record played and beat Wayne County 
10-2 and dropped the next game 18-14 to Rolesville All-stars.

With a 2-2 record and giving up the least amount of runs in the tournament, they were 
named the 2014 East Coast Select World Series Nations Baseball Under 8 
division Champions.
